My Personal Story

Why I set up a gym for over fifties. 

I feel this is an age group who are missing out on safe places to train, where loud music, mirrors and Lycra is not for them. 

For me at the age of 59 becoming a personal trainer was really not on the horizon or career pathway of someone my age, most people my age will be looking very closely to retiring and to putting their feet up and having a relaxing time.

For me it was just another challenge, another way of improving myself and also working with people and helping them through their fitness and wellbeing journey. 

Most people would look at a personal trainer as a young person's profession but believe me, a mature aged person can offer so much to others due to their life experience.

 

It's not all about lifting heavy weights Or how many pushups you can do in 60 seconds there are many things that a mature age personal trainer can offer to people who would love to just know how to move properly.

As a personal trainer I am aware that everyone is different, and age plays a big part on how we move or don't move in some cases.
